NWO would like to invite you to the collaborative workshops on 29 November and 13 December for the route Measuring and detection: anything, anytime and anywhere within the NWA Research on Routes by Consortia (ORC) 2023 call.
People are constantly exposed to external influences. Recent examples from the news include viruses such as COVID-19 and contaminants such as PFAS. The collective term for the environmental factors that people are exposed to is the ‘exposome’. To understand the impact of the exposome on humans, it is essential to be able to measure it. We want to know ‘what the exposome looks like’, ‘how does it evolve’ and ‘where does it end up in humans’?
The NWA-ORC theme ‘Measuring the dynamic exposome for a smart approach to societal transitions’ focuses on measuring the chemical and biological exposome. This is not only a matter for technical scientists, but also for citizens, which is why we want to involve the latter in the development of methods to measure the exposome. This will allow them to measure the exposome themselves and, if necessary or desired, adjust their actions based on the measurements.
During the collaborative workshops you can meet other researchers and social partners who want to contribute to the theme ‘Measuring the dynamic exposome for a smart approach to societal transitions’. The workshops are a good opportunity to contribute your expertise and contribute to the implementation of a theme. Participation in the workshops is mandatory for (lead) applicants of full applications.
Pre-submitted initiatives are the substantive starting point for the workshops. An initiative can be a potential contribution to the theme or an outline project idea.
We would like to invite you to participate in this call and workshops and opportunity for future collaboration.
